The criteria that the publisher is looking at / for are:
Contemporary romances set in North American small towns, including Western ranch communities. They want warmth, emotional depth, family, friendship, layered romance tropes, authentic settings, and a definite happily-ever-after. Cord and Miranda’s romance should reach its own HEA, while the McAllister ranch, family and surrounding Montana community can establish future connected books.
You are reading the first three chapters of a romance manuscript being prepared for submission to a "big" publisher for consideration.
